Euphoric summer festival: creativity and fun for the whole family!
Berlin, Deutschland - On July 11, 2025, district mayor Clara Herrmann announced the upcoming summer festival of the youth art school, which will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4 p.m. in the Fri-X garden. The festival promises a colorful mix of coffee, cake, grill dishes and a hands-on program that is suitable for the whole family. The focus is on art and music to create an inviting atmosphere that appeals to both children and adults. The activities offered will include drawing, screen printing, spraying and numerous actions for children.
The summer festival marks the start of the summer academy, whose events will take place in two periods: from July 28 to August 1st and in the first week of September, from September 1 to 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The activities of the summer academy include mirroring, building, shaping, photography, painting and sewing. The materials that are available to the participants include pencil, paper, sound, acrylic paints, textiles and stone.
free range of courses with a short registration process
The courses of the summer academy are free of charge. However, a voluntary material grant of 30 euros is requested. Registration for the autumn program also begins from now on, with a start date on September 15, 2025. In order to register, interested parties must select the desired course, fill out a registration form and submit it by email. After processing, the participants receive a confirmation of registration.

diverse workshops at the Mik Jugendkunstschule
In parallel to the summer academy, the Mik Jugendkunstschule will offer a series of workshops from July 22nd to August 30, 2025 that take place daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. These workshops for children and adolescents offer thematic focus such as "The face of the city", "Game Design & YouTube Animation" and "Ton meets BILD - your work of art to touch!". Some of the workshops have already been booked, but a waiting list is offered. Registrations are possible by email to the corresponding contact details.The youth art schools in Berlin have been continuously expanded in recent decades. The first youth art school was built in the atrium in Berlin-Reinickendorf from 1985 to 1987. Several schools have been added to various districts over the years. Today, the youth art schools are part of the European network arts4all, which is committed to cultural and artistic education.
