Adrian Pourviseh introduces his comic debut at reading in Berlin's district central library

As a citizen of Berlin, I am proud that Adrian Pourviseh will present his comic debut "The shimmer of the lake. As a sea rescuer on the Mediterranean" in our district central library Pablo Neruda. The book tells of the dramatic rescue of a large number of people on the Mediterranean through the Sea-Watch 3 and its volunteers. The fact that Italy, Malta and Tunisia refused to rescue the critical situation in which there are refugees at sea. As a former interpreter and volunteer, Adrian Pourviseh gained personal experiences on the Sea-Watch, which he captured in this moving work.

It is also noteworthy that journalist Sham Jaff, who reports on topics such as racism and flight, will moderate the conversation. This underlines the relevance of the topic and the importance of drawing public attention.

The presentation of this comics in our district central library is an important opportunity for the Berlin population to deal with the challenges of the refugees at sea and to sensitize the work of the sea rescuers.
