Medium -sized women: paths to more leadership skills and equal opportunities

women in German medium -sized companies - a future full of challenges! The middle class gathered for the second time. BVMW yesterday strong women and men for the gigantic event "Women. Future. Medium -sized companies. 2024". Despite all progress, women still have to fight massive hurdles to achieve the top in corporate management.

With an urgent message, BVMW federal manager Christoph Ahlhaus called up to recognize the unused potential of female specialists: "In order to strengthen the business location of Germany and keeping medium-sized companies sustainable, we must not do without the potential of female specialists and their innovative strength!" His words hallen through the room - a clear request to pull the helm around and support women in management positions!

With an exciting series of interactive workshops, the BVMW offered a platform for exchange of experiences and networking. Top-class politicians were on board: Lena Werner (SPD), Nicole Bauer (FDP), Carl-Julius Cronenberg (FDP) and Christina Stumpp from the CDU/CSU took part in the lively discussions. Together, the participants called for early support for entrepreneurial thinking in schools and the modernization of training occupations, especially in the craft.
But there were also critical voices that denounced the gap between political promises and reality. Solutions must be found here urgently!

The crowning end of the day took place on a parliamentary evening in the Microsoft Group representative. It became clear there: Family friendliness and flexible work models are crucial! Companies that offer creative and contemporary working hours and location models will not only secure their talent base, but will also win new specialists. The illustrious guests were Dr. Franziska Brantner, Janina Mütze and other important personalities of business and politics.

The middle class. BVMW e.V. is the largest political advocacy for medium -sized companies in Germany, with around 28,000 members and more than 900,000 representatives through the middle class alliance.
