Holiday traffic warning: ACE alarmed before increased traffic and construction sites during school holidays

In the coming days, Germany will be faced with increased traffic in five federal states due to the start of the holiday. The Auto Club Europa (ACE) warns of long traffic jams and traffic disruptions, especially in the metropolitan areas of Berlin and Hamburg.

Friday will be shaped by increased traffic, especially from the early noon in the metropolitan areas and on the long -distance streets. Travelers should prepare for longer traffic jams, especially on the popular holiday routes. In regions with school holidays, on the other hand, a noticeably lower after -work traffic is expected.

The risk of the stem increases significantly on Saturday from the early morning hours. Nationwide, the streets will be full, especially towards the south, to the coasts and the mountains. The most affected motorways are the north-south connections and the transverse east-west routes, as well as the city highways of Hamburg, Berlin and Munich.

In order to relieve the traffic, an expanded truck driving ban on weekends for vehicles over 7.5 tons will apply by August 31. On all Saturdays in July and August from seven to 8 p.m., busy motorways and federal highways are affected by this ban. In Bavaria, however, the driving ban was exposed to July 31 due to the flood disaster.

The travelers are asked to plan their routes well, to calculate delays and to consider the traffic instructions in order to get their goal safely.
