FC25 tournament for the Club World Cup: Play for free in Berlin!

The FC25 tournament for the FIFA Club World Cup in football will take place on June 12, 2025 in the Ingeborg Drewitz Library in Berlin. Under the title “FC25”, the participants will compete against each other in an exciting competition on the Playstation 5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is open to all ages and is free. Individual players or teams of two can register to take part in this exciting event, which does not require spectator registration. Anyone interested can register by phone at 030/90299-2410 or by email at event-bibliothek@ba-sz.berlin.de.

The tournament is part of the anticipation of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in the USA in the summer. From June 14th to July 13th, a total of 32 teams from around the world will take part in the revamped competition, which will take place every four years. This new format change introduced by FIFA expands the number of participants and increases global representation in football. The last seven editions of the Club World Cup had only seven participants.

Tournament details and participation

Germany is represented by two top teams: FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The new mode includes eight groups of four teams, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the round of 16. The opening match will take place on June 15 between Al Ahly SC and Inter Miami CF.

Prices and transfer

The total prize money for the competition is $1 billion, of which up to $115 million will be awarded to the winner. The games will be broadcast via SAT.1, Joyn and ran.de, which will show all games in live stream and free TV. During the Club World Cup, there will be an additional mini transfer window from June 1st to 10th, during which players are only allowed to play for one club.

The old Club World Cup will continue in a shortened form under the name Intercontinental Cup. This new concept was introduced to make the tournament more attractive to fans worldwide and to increase the diversity of participating teams. While the competition attracts low viewership in Europe, the title in South America is considered a significant and desirable success.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup promises to be an exciting event and the FC25 tournament in Berlin is already an opportunity to celebrate the anticipation and competition of football.
