A scarf for life: hope for children in the climate crisis
It is a call to act, touches the heart and opens eyes! The "a scarf for life" campaign sets a sign of climate protection and children in need! This is done in a spectacular framework, and the brilliant actress Florence Kasumba, known from "Black Panther", combines stars and citizens to call a powerful call for disadvantaged children worldwide.
"If we invest in children, we will also invest in our future," says the charismatic Kasumba. Together with prominent colleagues, she supports the initiative of Brigitte and Save the Children, who is already celebrating their eleventh year! In this special campaign, which combines style and heart, there is an impressive scarf by the designer Guido Maria Kretschmer, whose sale will benefit the urgently needed children in crisis areas.
the alarming reality
The numbers are alarming: Almost every second child worldwide is endangered by the devastating consequences of the climate crisis! Extreme weather, such as devastating storms, destructive floods and relentless heat waves, tighten the emergency and lead to hunger, diseases and school closures. "Wars and disasters prevent many children from learning and a better future," emphasizes Florence Kasumba with impenetrable determination.
aid organizations such as Save the Children are at the forefront to provide therapeutic and social support as well as essential food supply. Florian Westphal, Managing Director of Save the Children Germany, calls for people to become active! "With every scarf we send an important message: Together we can make a difference!"
And that's not all! The editor -in -chief of Brigitte, Susanna Riethmüller, emphasizes the importance of the initiative: "The scarf symbolizes hope and courage!" This year, the focus is particularly on the devastating effects of the climate crisis in Bangladesh, a country that is hit by natural disasters. Together they show what dangers these events bring with them and what they can do about it.
celebrities support the mission
Soon, numerous celebrities like the designer Guido Maria Kretschmer, the actress Florence Kasumba and politician Renate Künast will wear the "scarf for life" and thus set an unmistakable sign for climate protection! From September 25th, the entire campaign will begin with the anniversary book on "70 years of Brigitte" and follow continuous gripping stories that are spread in both prints and digitally!
For each scarf sold, ten euros flow into the vital work of Save the Children, and so far I have been able to collect impressive three million euros for the poorest in the world! "Every scarf counts!" Emphasizes Westphal. The campaign started on September 20, and the highlight will be celebrated on December 10th, the International Day of Human Rights. Wear the scarf as a sign of solidarity with the little ones under our fellow human beings!
