From November 7, 2024, the SWR will become a stage for magical stories! In the 24th season of "Young Documentary", the Baden-Württemberg film support introduces the best talents. These captivating films are a real treat for everyone who is enthusiastic about the pressing questions of our time! The young filmmakers: In the inside, in a total of three exciting documentaries, various crises examine that affect us all: be it climate change, the pressure of society or the struggle for your own health.
In this unique series, the diplomand show: inside and graduate: Inside of the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy from November 7th to 22nd, their works, which they developed together with the SWR documentary film editor. Let yourself be carried away and discover the diverse perspectives of exciting, young talents!

The first film starts on November 7th at 11:35 p.m.: "Goldhammer" . In this gripping portrait we encounter Marcel Goldammer, a dazzling gay and former sex worker who suddenly drums for the AfD! From admiration for Angela Merkel to political activism - this young man has had a fascinating journey. His self -staging in social networks about identity, belonging and the challenges of the modern world.
Another highlight follows on November 14th at 11:35 p.m. with "Silence is a nice sound" . Here we take a look at the life of six deaf people who find different ways to deal with their deafness. The documentary touches heart and describes the deep longings of this protagonist: inside, be it in dance, sign language or in art. A sensitive work that strikes the bridge between the worlds of the hearing and the deaf!

and not to forget: On November 22nd at 11:35 p.m., the exciting documentary "Yumi - The South Pacific in Global Cultural Struggle" . The story of three law students who want to bring climate change to the International Court of Justice shows the unshakable belief in change. Your tireless motivation will be put to a tough test while you have to assert yourself on the international stage to spread your message from UN representatives. A film of hope that gives courage to protect our earth!
