A literary spectacle in Frankfurt!

The Frankfurt Book Fair 2024 has started and the Deutschlandfunk programs are right in the middle of it! From October 16 to 20, Deutschlandfunk shines live from the Hessian metropolis and brings a unique experience directly to the radio and to the visitors on site!

with a variety of programs and formats that will inspire visitors, how exciting literature can be. At the exhibition stand in Hall 3.1 (H15), literature fans can experience the programs "Lesart", "Book Market", and "PastaT" live. But that's not all! Formats such as "key", "his and argument" and "Tacheles" are also on the program!

The stage program offers exciting encounters with the creative minds behind the Deutschlandfunk programs. Here, journalists and editors tell of their experiences and passion for literature. How do you write a book? What happens when creating podcasts? Again and again exciting insights await the audience!

A special highlight is the live transmission of the award ceremonies around the book fair! The German Book Prize 2024 will be awarded on October 14th, and on October 20, the Polish-American historian and journalist Anne Applebaum will be honored with the Peace Prize of German Book Trade. An unforgettable start for this year's book fair!
