CSU demands support for Bavarian farmers to secure nutrition

alarm in agriculture! The CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament puts its finger in the wound: the challenges for local farmers grow. And they no longer want to accept that politics will decide across their heads! An urgency application that is to be decided on Wednesday in the plenum calls for a change in agricultural policy to EU and federal level. Sustainability and nutritional security are at the top of the agenda!

parliamentary group leader Klaus Holetschek speaks plain text: "Our domestic farmers provide citizens every day with healthy products of the highest quality and at affordable prices." The support from politics is more than overdue. The deletion of important funding, such as the Agrardiesel Refunds, pushes farmers into a financial dilemma that could cost it almost 500 million euros!

an appeal for sustainable agricultural policy!

The CSU parliamentary group has a clear demand: The state government must finally become active in the interests of Bavarian agriculture! Holetschek emphasizes that the farmers are the backbone of rural added value and make an indispensable contribution to the preservation of the cultural landscape. But slowly confidence in political support is lost!

But not only Holetschek expresses his concerns. Petra Högl , Chair of the Working Group on Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism, demands that the work of the farmers are recognized as a whole. "Specifications must be practical, understandable and implementable!" says and urges a coupling of funding to real quality and performance - and the Bavarian farmers are not only national, but also across Europe!

at a time when global grain shortages becomes a big topic, agricultural policy in Germany has to do a change of course. "The obligation to make mandatory space must finally fall!" so Högl. The voice of Bayern in Berlin and Brussels has to become louder - for sustainable and sustainable agriculture that also enables a good life!
