Anlässlich der Fußball-Europameisterschaft 2024 lädt der Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf zu einer besonderen Veranstaltungsreihe ein, die unter dem Motto „Let’s make it a A Good Game“ steht. Das Programm, das vor Anpfiff des Eröffnungsspiels in München beginnt, dreht sich rund um die 17 Nachhaltigkeitsziele und deren Umsetzung lokal und global. Dabei wird Umweltstadtrat Oliver Schruoffeneger gemeinsam mit Lidia Perico, Leiterin der Stabsstelle Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung, das vielfältige Programm eröffnen. On the occasion of the European Football Championship 2024, the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district invites you to a special series of events that is under the motto "Let’s make it a a good game". The program, which begins before the opening game kicks off in Munich, revolves around the 17 sustainability goals and their implementation locally and globally. During the entire European Football European Championship, visitors can: Inside at four locations in the district, exchange their jersey for a jersey on the long sustainability line. In addition to football, sustainability, fairness and international understanding, various events and events are also on the program. This includes, for example, the Bauhaus Reuse, which is also one of the sales locations of the "Dit is Muesli" of the district. Here the visitors can find a photo wall in front of the Berlin backdrop on the inside next to a kicker and an urban garden project.

A highlight of the program is the event "Football and Fan Culture in Scotland" on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 7 p.m. Here the fan culture in Scotland, one of the mother countries of modern football, is examined more precisely. In a workshop on June 26, 2024, climate adaptation measures are explained using the example of a sports facility, while on July 9, 2024 a panel discussion on the subject of "right wing in Europe" takes place.

The series of events ends on Friday, July 12, 2024, with an open-air final dinner under the title "A Good Table", in which a review and impulses for sport and sustainability are presented with committed actors. The entire event series is funded by the Senate Department for Sport and is part of the efforts of the district to implement the 17 sustainability goals.

As part of a larger initiative to promote sustainability and environmental protection in sports, the program of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district offers a variety of exciting events and workshops during the 2024 football European Championships that address both local and global effects. It shows how sport, in this case football can be used in order to address important topics such as sustainability, fairness and identity and to promote positive changes.
