Change CEOs: take responsibility for global challenges
In a world full of uncertainties and profound changes, the CEOs are at the top and are ready to take responsibility! According to the explosive Global CEO Survey by Egon Zehnder - presented at the important summit of the Berlin Global Dialogue - more than 470 leaders from all over the world have been asked and they have a clear message: The time for change is now!
The survey shows a more than clear picture: Incredible 95 percent of the CEOs expect the framework conditions in the areas of economy, geopolitics, energy and technology will change rapidly in the next few years. But that's not all! 80 percent of them not only understand their role as a company leader, but see themselves as important actors who actively participate in the design of complex social challenges.
Future -oriented CEOs rely on culture
In view of the global turbulence, the CEOs are confident: they are convinced that they can find solutions together with other stakeholders. In particular, the focus is on climate change, which 32 percent of the respondents cite as a common challenge, followed by the regulation of artificial intelligence, which 30 percent . Only 13 percent campaign for a fairer global economy.Lars-Hendrik Röller, founder of Berlin Global Dialogue, emphasizes: "Political changes, including the worrying rise of right movements, are becoming increasingly relevant for CEOs." In this context, the dialogue between business and politics is more necessary than ever!
Especially the German CEOs stand out! With 21 percent they see themselves much more duty to become active where politics gets to stall. In international comparison, it is striking: only 12 percent of the global CEOs share this view. The concerns about geopolitical instability are also tangible in Germany - it is one of the top 3 of the biggest challenges that companies have to cope with.
culture of openness and curiosity
