Yesterday evening, a 19-year-old suspected apartment burglar was arrested by the police in Rudow. An attentive neighbor noticed a light and suspicious noises coming from an apartment on Neudecker Weg around 9:45 p.m. She immediately alerted the police, who discovered the suspect on the balcony of the affected apartment.
The young man had forced his way into the balcony door and was searching the apartment for valuables. When he was arrested, the officers not only found burglary tools and suspected stolen goods, but also a knife. After his identity was established, the 19-year-old was released into police custody. The investigation is now being continued by a specialist commissioner from Police Directorate 4 (South).
