There was a dramatic traffic accident in Mariendorf yesterday afternoon in which a motorcyclist was seriously injured. The 59-year-old driver wanted to turn onto Mariendorfer Damm towards Tauernallee around 5 p.m. when she collided with the 47-year-old motorcyclist who was on the right next to her in the bus lane. The impact was violent: the motorcyclist fell and sustained injuries to his head and upper body.
Rescue workers rushed to the scene of the accident and took the man to hospital for inpatient treatment; Fortunately, there is no danger to life. The driver and her fellow passengers were uninjured, but there was significant damage to both vehicles. The investigation is now being carried out by the Commissariat for Traffic Offenses in Directorate 4 (South).
