Yesterday evening chaos broke out in the Mitte district of Berlin! An 80-year-old man was sitting relaxed on a bench on Schillingstrasse around 8:15 p.m. when suddenly, according to reports, a 21-year-old perpetrator brutally tried to snatch the fanny pack wrapped around his arm. The senior bravely clung to his property, but the attacker pulled so hard that the old man fell off the bench and was dragged across the floor!
The situation escalated when the perpetrator finally managed to steal the bag and tried to escape. But luckily a 38-year-old witness was there who stopped the criminal in no time! He handed the bag back and ensured that the perpetrator was caught shortly afterwards by alert emergency services. The senior citizen suffered unsightly abrasions on his arms and legs in the act of violence, which fortunately could be treated on an outpatient basis. The investigation continues!
