In the darkness of last night, Pankow Castle Park became the scene of a dramatic attempted robbery! At around 1:20 a.m., two masked perpetrators threatened a group of passers-by with firearms and, risking their lives, demanded that they hand over cash. The situation escalated when shots were fired and a 28-year-old was injured - she suffered a gunshot wound in the hip area!
Quickly after the bloody confrontation, the perpetrators fled in an unknown direction, while the seriously wounded woman was immediately taken to the hospital to receive inpatient treatment. The investigation was immediately taken over by a specialized police department from Police Directorate 1 (North) in order to catch the unscrupulous attackers. Fear of such acts of violence is spreading – what will the police do to restore security?
