Police dissolve pro-Palestine meeting: 183 reports filed!

Yesterday evening there was a chaotic and tumultuous meeting in the Tiergarten district, which was called by the pro-Palestinian community. Around 150 people marched through the streets with provocative banners while repeatedly shouting banned slogans. The police intervened at around 6:40 p.m. and broke up the gathering after a person responsible for the organization could not be located. Officials restricted the freedom of participants to clarify their identities.

During the operation, some people tried to evade detection, which led to a scuffle with the police. About 20 demonstrators managed to escape, while others were prevented from doing so through the use of gas and physical force. A total of 183 criminal charges were filed - including for resistance to police officers and breach of the peace. Of the 188 people temporarily arrested, including 122 women and 65 men, all were released following police action. Some police officers were injured in the clashes but remained on duty.
