Masked robbers attack supermarket in Charlottenburg-Nord: cashier injured!

In a shocking incident in Berlin's Charlottenburg-Nord district, there was an attempted robbery at a supermarket last night. At around 10 p.m., two masked perpetrators stormed the grocery store on Halemweg. A 62-year-old cashier was threatened with an irritant spray device and asked to hand over the safe key. When she refused, the attacker sprayed her face with irritant and hit her in the back of the head with the spray bottle.

A courageous 26-year-old colleague of the cashier who observed the scene tried to intervene, but was also attacked with an irritant. Both perpetrators then made off without any loot. The victims received immediate medical help at the scene, and the 62-year-old was taken to hospital for further treatment. The specialist commissioner of Directorate 2 (West) is now investigating this explosive case.
