Man sets books on fire in library: arson in Charlottenburg!
In a shocking incident in Charlottenburg yesterday, a 35-year-old was arrested after dousing several books with accelerant and setting them on fire in a French cultural library. The alarm came in around 12:10 p.m. when concerned citizens called the police. Thanks to the quick action of those present who extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher, the library remained undamaged and there were no injuries.
The suspected arsonist, who allowed himself to be arrested without resistance, was of the opinion that the historical content of the books was misrepresented. After his arrest, he was taken into police custody and handed over to the fire commission of the State Criminal Police Office. He was released there after the initial investigation, but the case remains under investigation.
