ATM blown up in Gropiusstadt – perpetrators on the run!
In a spectacular robbery this morning, unknown people blew up an ATM in Gropiusstadt! At around 3:30 a.m., three masked perpetrators broke into the entrance area of the Lipschitzallee subway station and exploded the machine into the air. The force of the explosion not only destroyed the ATM, but also parts of the entrance area!
After the shocking incident, the perpetrators fled in a car in the direction of Fritz-Erler-Allee and Neuköllner Straße. It is currently unclear whether they were able to steal money. The investigation was taken over by a specialist commissioner from the Berlin State Criminal Police Office in order to find these brazen criminals. The residents of the area are in an uproar - who could do such madness?
