On Monday night, an unknown person tried to set fire to a cannabis shop on Große Hamburger Straße, Berlin-Mitte. At around 3:20 a.m., a witness alerted the police and fire department after she saw the person pouring liquid onto the shop window and then punching a hole in it. Before she fled, the perpetrator set fire to an object outside the window.
The fire department was able to quickly extinguish the fire. A fire commissioner from the State Criminal Police Office is now investigating on suspicion of attempted serious arson. The investigation is in full swing to quickly clarify the identity of the perpetrator.
