On Wednesday night, an apartment in Marzahn became the scene of a dramatic robbery. A 19-year-old and his 17-year-old companion were sitting in their apartment on Murtzaner Ring at 1:30 a.m. when an unknown man suddenly stormed onto the balcony with a gun. The armed robber forced the young man into the apartment and stole a games console, a cash box and a cell phone before escaping through the front door.
The police were alerted and immediately began an investigation. A 16-year-old suspect was quickly identified and officers searched his apartment in Marzahn. They found the stolen bag from a friend of the suspect - and with it a firearm. The responsible youth commissioner in Directorate 3 (East) is taking over further investigations into this frightening incident.
