Berlin Architecture Prize 2023: The rhino pagoda in the zoo in the race for the most beautiful building in the capital

The Berlin Architecture Prize is awarded every three years and is coming up again this year. Architects and builders can be awarded at this renowned price. A prominent international jury decides on the award of the main prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, as well as the special prize "Focus Sustainability" in the amount of 3,000 euros

The list of the submitted buildings includes a total of 87 buildings, including the rhino pagoda in the zoo, the restored new National Gallery, the roof of the Tempelhof Airport, the Kant Garagen Palace and the Museum Island underground station. But not only the jury can decide on architectural prices, the Berliners themselves can also vote.

On the platform www.architecturpreis-berlin.de/2023, all Berliners have the opportunity to coordinate their favorite structure by August 28th at 12 noon. The award ceremony will take place on September 15th. In addition to the main prize and the special prize, a public award is also awarded in which the opinion of the population counts.

The Architecture Prize Berlin is supported by Christian Gaebler, the Senator for Urban Development, Building and Living. The non -profit association Architecture Prize Berlin, which is made up of committed citizens, to whom Berlin's building culture is concerned, is the out of the price.
