New developments in the Greens
The question of whether Annalena Baerbock will again compete for the Greens as a candidate for chancellor remains unclear. In a current statement by the Vice Chancellor and Party colleague Robert Habeck, however, indications were given that Baerbock could possibly run for the office again.
In his statement,Habeck emphasized the successful collaboration with Baerbock in the past and praised her competence and leadership qualities. Nevertheless, he left open whether she will again be the top candidate of the Greens in the next election.
Speculation about who will lead the Greens in the next election continue to stop. Both Baerbock and Habeck are considered promising candidates for this position. However, the decision will only be announced at a later date.
