Chair of the AOK federal association condemn remigration plans of right-wing extremists

The National Socialists came to power in Germany around 90 years ago. An immediate consequence was also the synchronization of social self -government - legally and personnel. Voluntary and full -time employees of the health insurance companies were also pushed out of the offices and jobs and pursued, up to torture and murder. The chairman of the Supervisory Board of the AOK Federal Association, Dr. Susanne Wagenmann (employer side) and Knut Lambertin (insured side), have now condemned the "remigration plans" of right -wing extremists and have given all efforts to weaken the central points of the Basic Law.

As a citizen of Berlin, it is frightening that such plans exist today and that we have to remember the terrible events of the past. Social self -administration is an important pillar of our democracy, and it is worrying how political controversy are tightened by pejorative rhetoric and racist agitation. In a country like Germany, which depends on its democratic tradition and social peace so strongly, such developments should not be tolerated in any way.

It can be seen soothing that the chairpersons of the supervisory board of the AOK federal association emphasize the importance of social self-administration for democracy and the welfare state. As a citizen of Berlin, I hope that all social actors work for respectful interaction, respect for different opinions on the ground of the Basic Law and a fair culture of dispute. Discrimination and racism do not belong in our society.

The mention of the graphic novel "140 years of AOK - a history of people" is also important because it reminds us of how important it is to learn from history and ensure that such events never repeat themselves. As a citizen of Berlin, I find it important that such historical work continues to keep our memory awake and remind us of how precious our democracy and our social peace are.

In this sense, it is crucial that we work together as a society to follow the basic democratic rules and to respect human dignity, as the chairpersons of the supervisory board of the AOK federal association emphasize. This is the only way we can ensure that our society continues to build on the values of democracy, freedom, welfare state and the rule of law.
