Vulcan fever: Photographic adventure at the Köpenick focus library

Sensation in Köpenick! On Friday, October 18, 2024, the cultural highlight of the year was opened: the exhibition "Vulcan fever" by the extraordinary photographer Martin Claus. The Köpenick focus library unfolds a collection of breathtaking travel notes that take the viewer into the fascinating volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands: Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Fuerteventura.

Martin Claus, a creative genius and Berliner, celebrated his 75th birthday in October. With captivating stories and impressive pictures, he takes the visitors into his world, which is shaped by "adventurous fear of fear". "I was in a 300 -meter -long lava cavity, the heart knocked and the flashlight flickered ... When a new volcano broke out here in 2021, my cave sank into meter -thick lava. Nobody will be able to take these shots!" so claus. His life and work are evidence of the overwhelming passion for photography and adventure.
