On November 23, 2024, the mystical black barn in the legendary Späth’s tree nursery in Berlin is transformed into a magical place for the long night of listening of fairy tale . From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors can expect exciting adventures and captivating stories that take you into the world of fairy tales! The gates open at 6:30 p.m., i.e. come early and secure the best place!
For the first time, the black barn, a hidden jewel in Berlin's middle, has been participating in the coveted Berlin fairytale days since 1720. Fairy tale friends of all ages can look forward to extraordinary stories of all kinds. The talented narrators, a mix of young swing and experienced professionals, prepare a Performance that big and small visitors will certainly enchant.

This year a very special highlight is waiting for the young heroes: Hansel and Gretel go into a mysterious forest where they meet ghosts and eerie beings. Provides goosebumps and exciting moments while the fire crackles and howls the wolves. The adventure becomes exciting and a little creepy!
Marlies Ludwig, the talented actress and narrator, controls the dangerous, unknown fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm with her captivating stories. With warm mulled wine and delicious snacks, the evening becomes an unforgettable experience for all visitors. Access is allowed for children from the age of 8 and adults of all generations. Cost? Admission is free for children up to 16 years, adults pay 8 euros (reduced 6 euros) - and all at the box office!

But that's not all! Immediately after the long night of fairy tale counting , the Christmas market "Lights in the Tannenwald" begins in the Späth’s tributic schools! On the first three Advent weekends, from November 30th to December 15th, this market will be a real dream under the sparkling sea of lights. This is where Santa Claus comes over, and the musical program also creates a pre -Christmas atmosphere. An exciting fire show will provide a spectacular finale!
The oldest tree nursery in Germany, lovingly decorated with over 100 stands, offers everything your heart desires: from handmade jewelry to creative gift ideas. The Monbijou Theater inspires the younger ones with magical fairy tale performances, and for the families there is the opportunity to make gifts themselves!
