Maintenance work on water fountains in Treptower Park are delayed

Nach einer starken Überflutung im Technikschacht der Wasserfontäne im Rosengarten des Treptower Parks im Juni 2023, konnten die notwendigen Instandsetzungsarbeiten vor Winterbruch im vergangenen Jahr nicht mehr abgeschlossen werden. Die Berliner Wasserbetriebe (BWB) haben nun Anfang April 2024 mit den Instandsetzungsarbeiten begonnen, jedoch ist noch unklar, wann diese abgeschlossen sein werden. Die Arbeiten gestalten sich aufgrund der Komplexität der Anlagen im Technikschacht schwierig. Für die Reparaturen müssen die Wasserfontäne, das Seerosenbecken und der Brunnen „Wolf und Kranich“ abgeschaltet werden. After a strong flooding in the technical shaft of the water fountain in the rose garden of the Treptower Park in June 2023, the necessary repair work before the winter break could no longer be completed last year. The Berlin Water Businesses (BWB) now started the repair work at the beginning of April 2024, but it is still unclear when they will be completed.

The work is difficult due to the complexity of the systems in the technology shaft. For the repairs, the water fountain, the water lily pool and the "Wolf and Kranich" fountain must be switched off. This means that these popular attractions are temporarily not available in the rose garden.
