Am 17. Juni 2024 wird das Straßen- und Grünflächenamt das Großpflaster der Fahrbahn in der Florian-Geyer-Straße durch sogenanntes Cheopspflaster ersetzen. Dieser Wechsel dient nicht nur der Vereinheitlichung des Straßenbelags im Zuge des ersten Bauabschnitts von der Dörpfeldstraße bis zur Altheider Straße, sondern soll auch die Versickerung des Niederschlagswassers in der Straße verbessern. Die Instandsetzungsarbeiten werden voraussichtlich drei Monate dauern und erfordern eine Vollsperrung der Straße. Aufgrund der geringen Fahrbahnbreite ist es nicht möglich, während der Baumaßnahme eine Notfahrspur einzurichten.
