A shining chapter of history will come to life! In November and December 2024, the guided wall walks invite you as part of the impressive special exhibition "Sounded memory. The Berlin Wall in Treptow. A search for traces" invite you to deal with the history of the Berlin wall. Be there when history can be experienced!
District City Councilor Marco Brauchmann is looking for traces with us and invites us to experience the sites of the former wall up close. mark the appointments! on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. , on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, at 1 p.m. and on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. , the guided walk will start in the vein stairs!
the path of remembering
The starting point? In front of the S-Bahn station Plänterwald! And the goal? The former border tower "Government site Silesian Busch" - a place full of stories! duration: around 3 hours full of emotions and stories. participation is free of charge , and if you want to register, you can do so - but it is not necessary!
These 17 kilometers that separate Treptow from Neukölln and Kreuzberg were the scene of countless fates. 23 people , including three children, found death in the shadow of the wall in Treptow - their name is never forgotten here. The walks lead over Kiefholzstraße, Heidelberger Straße, Bouchéstraße and Harzer Straße - places where hope and despair often went hand in hand. Here escapes were dared to do some success, others ended in unspeakable suffering.
