Important evidence was ensured during the raid in the accused's apartment, and a non-suspect person in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia was also searched.
The arrested person will be brought before an investigative judge of the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe on Sunday, who must decide on a possible custody. The Federal Attorney General Jens Rommel emphasizes that Islamistically motivated terrorism is one of the main hazards for Germany, with almost 500 of over 700 investigations last year that affect this area.
