The project "Our Library = Our Diversity" was duly completed in a glamorous framework! District Mayor Jörn Oltmann in his festive speech emphasized the immense importance of this initiative for our district. He explained: "This project shows how complex the possibilities are that modern libraries can offer to build bridges and enable participation." This makes it clear once again: Diversity enriches our society in an immeasurable way!

A big thank you also went to the cooperating clubs who brought this project to life: from the Afghan Women's Association Berlin-MAH e.V. to the German-Libanese Freundschaftsbrücke e.V. to the Language Café Polnisch e.V. (branch Südkreuz)-they all did pioneering work together. The cooperation of these committed organizations is a shining example of living integration!

solemn atmosphere and outlook on the future

At the festive final event, all participants met in an atmosphere of exchange and joy. But not only the celebrations were celebrated: From now on, the cooperation between the Tempelhof-Schöneberg city library and the clubs listed really starts. This project was only the beginning to open the library locations even more to our colorful city society. The aim is to create a place that is open to everyone!

The project received financial support from the Senate Department for Labor, Social Affairs, Equality, Integration, Diversity and Anti-Discrimination as part of the participation and integration program as well as the House of Resources Berlin.
