Telekom improves mobile phone supply in Dessau-Roßlau: expansion of 5G and more bandwidth

Telekom has opened three new 5G locations in the city area of ​​Dessau-Roßlau in the past two months to improve mobile phone supply. Due to the expansion, the cover in the urban area is expanded and there is a more range overall. The reception in buildings is also better. The location in Dessau-Roßlau was also built to ensure the supply along the Saxony-Anhalt-Süd railway lines.

Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom, emphasized that the need for bandwidth is constantly increasing and Telekom will therefore continue to make a speed of mobile phone expansion.

currently, Telekom runs 43 locations in the urban area of ​​Dessau-Roßlau, whereby the budget cover is almost 100 percent. Another eight locations are to be added by 2026 and extensions with LTE or 5G should be planned at 21 radio masts.

For the implementation of new locations, Telekom is dependent on cooperation with the municipalities or owners in order to rent suitable areas. Interested parties can contact the German radio tower, which is responsible for the construction of the Telekom mobile phone locations.

Telekom currently operates over 36,000 mobile phone locations and builds around 1,500 new locations annually.
