Telekom extends mobile phone supply in Oberhavel - more bandwidth and better reception

Telekom improves mobile phone supply in the district of Oberhavel
The mobile phone supply in the Oberhavel district has experienced an important improvement. In the past two months, Telekom has expanded a mobile phone location with LTE. This expansion not only improves the mobile phone coverage throughout the district, but there is also more bandwidth available overall. In particular, the reception in buildings is optimized. This improved service is available to the residents of the following community: Kremmen. In addition, the location in Kremmen also serves to supply mobile phone along the A10 and A24 motorways as well as the Brandenburg-Nord-Berlin.
"The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue our pace in mobile phone expansion," says Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom.

Deutsche Telekom now operates 109 mobile phone locations in the Oberhavel district. The coverage of households is almost 100 percent. A further 42 locations are to be added by 2026. Extensions with LTE or 5G are also planned at 35 radio masts.
Telekom, however, rely on cooperation with the municipalities or owners in order to rent the necessary areas for new locations. The German radio tower is responsible for the construction of the Telekom mobile phone locations. At the moment, Telekom has more than 36,000 mobile phone locations and is building around 1,500 new locations every year.
