Deutsche Telekom launched the expansion of its fiber optic network for more than 1,500 residential units of the “Freie Scholl” building cooperative Berlin. The promise of starting the free expansion this year is adhered to.

The construction work started in the residential analges on the Waidmannsluster Damm 81. Fiel fiber cables are drawn from the street to the individual buildings of the building cooperative, at the same time the fiber optic network nodes are built. The work is interrupted during the "plaice festival" and then continued in the single -family houses.

The supply of fiber optics enables gigabit bandwidths and offers the tenants of the building cooperative an optimal internet and telephone connection. Working, learning, video conferences, gaming and streaming are possible at the same time and without restrictions.

The expansion of fiber optic networks is an important step for the digital future of Berlin. Deutsche Telekom is proud to make this future -oriented technology accessible to humans together with the “Freie Scholle” building cooperative.

With more than 770,000 kilometers, the fiber optic network of Telekom is the largest in Europe. Telekom offers all services from a single source, from planning and construction to internet and TV supply. As a basic supplier, Telekom has been building and operating the telecommunications infrastructure in Germany for generations.

Interested tenants can receive more information about the fiber optic connection in the Telekom Shops in Tegel and Berlin Frohnau.
