More and more people value sustainable shopping and pay attention to how products are packed. Super markets often advertise with environmentally friendly packaging material and the use of reusable packaging. But how are the packaging without packaging Germany's supermarkets really? The German Environmental Aid (DUH) examined this for the third time in a row in its packaging check.
The packaging check included 12 large supermarket, discounter and organic clots in different categories, from fruit and vegetables to drinks to drinks. The goal was to find out which supermarkets are on the right path to fewer packaging and where consumers can buy no packaging.
The result of the investigation is presented in a press conference that takes place digitally via zoom. The German Environmental Aid (DUH) invites all interested parties to participate.
The press conference offers an overview of which supermarket has taken the best measures to reduce packaging and which supermarkets still have catching up to do. In addition, the participants discuss how the federal government can solve the waste problem in Germany.
