Stars of sports in silver: honor for North Rhine-Westphalian clubs
On November 4, 2024, Oberhausen will become a stage for outstanding sporting achievements! Six clubs from North Rhine-Westphalia are awarded at the awarding of the “Stars of Sports in Silver”. This prestigious event takes place in the historic Sankt Bernardus chapel and promises an exciting honor that should not be missed!
The tension increases! Who will be the big winner of the evening? The participating clubs are not only proud of being nominated, but they hope for first place, which is associated with the large star in silver and a generous prize money of 2,500 euros. But the second highest honors are also remarkable: second place receives 1,500 euros, the third place 1,000 euros. There are also three funding prices, each endowed with 500 euros. A real race for honor and prize money!

This year particularly creative and committed clubs managed to put it in the spotlight. Here are the nominees:

But nobody reveals the big surprise of the evening! Only at the award ceremony will the places and the associated prices be announced. An exciting event that focuses not only on the winners, but also their special projects. The first winner can also hope for another chance: On January 20, 2025, the Great Star in Gold will be presented in Berlin by the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier!
Andrea Milz, the State Secretary for Sport and Voluntary, will take part in the ceremonial ceremony and honor the ceremony. Together with the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken and the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia, the importance of voluntary commitment in sport is recognized.
