Am 8. September 2024 lädt das Schul- und Sportamt erneut zum Südparkfest ein, welches in der bezirkseigenen Freizeitsportanlage Südpark in Spandau stattfinden wird. Dabei haben örtliche Sportvereine und Jugendfreizeiteinrichtungen die Möglichkeit, sich mit verschiedenen Darbietungen, Mitmachaktionen und Schnupperangeboten zu präsentieren. Sportstadträtin Dr. Carola Brückner betont die Bedeutung des Festes, um Vereine und sportbegeisterte Bürger zusammenzubringen und verschiedenen Sportarten eine Plattform zu bieten. Neben den Vorführungen auf der Bühne können die Rasen- und Sportflächen der Anlage genutzt werden, einschließlich Tennis-/Badmintonplätze, Beachvolleyfeld und Basketballfeld.
