Spandau Schools set an example for democracy with an anniversary campaign day
The Spandau schools will organize an action day on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law on May 23, 2024 to celebrate the democratic values of our society. Together with the district office and other supporters, they invite citizens to a rally in front of the Spandau town hall. Dr. Carola Brückner, district councilor for education, culture, sport and facility management, emphasizes the importance of democracy in everyday life and praises schools for their efforts to promote democratic values. Janika Jarling, head of the Department of the Spandau school supervision and initiator of the campaign day, emphasizes the need to make democracy tangible and praises the schools and their projects to promote democracy.
The day of action under the motto "Spandau Schools for Democracy!" Will be a central rally and a colorful stage program with the district mayor Frank Werbig, the city councilor Dr. Carola Brückner and Janika Jarling, head of the Spandau school supervision. The event will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Werner-Salomon-Platz in front of the Spandau town hall. Media representatives are cordially invited to participate.
