Imagine: Children and young people take over the helm! In Spandau, the youth jury entered the stage in 2024 and that has it all! With incredible support from the youth democracy fund Berlin, young opinion makers have the power to decide which projects should become a reality in their neighborhood. Not only are you talked here, but also participated in the hindquarters with several thousand euros!
Tanja Franzke, district councilor for youth and health, said: "thanks to the program made strong! - Youth we have been able to support many creative ideas again this year. The highlight? The funds are awarded by young people for young people! This democratic process not only promotes responsibility, but also the commitment of the young generation in their environment."

What happens when the voice of youth counts? This was exactly what happened in three gripping sessions, in which 18 innovative projects of young people between the ages of 10 and 21 were approved! The range ranges from environmental projects to artistic actions to initiatives that strengthen living together. Here are not only great ideas behind it, but also a real spirit of change!
The talented applicants come from various youth leisure facilities, associations and municipalities in Spandau. The coordination of the youth jury is in the hands of Staakkato e.V., while members of the Spandauer Youth participation round are supported as committed project sponsors. So every application is supported with know-how and passion!

This initiative is more than just one project - it is a clear sign of strengthening democratic values in youth. Responsibility is actively taken on here, and not only for your own voice, but also for the ideas of the fellow human beings. The youth jury is the perfect place for everyone who actively helps shape their neighborhood and want to realize their dreams.
