Spandauer Aktionmärz 2024 sets signs against racism

The international weeks against racism have been established nationwide since 2008 and take place around March 21st, the International UN Memoral Day against racism. The Spandau district office also wants to set a sign against exclusion, discrimination and persecution. As part of the "Spandauer Action März 2024" on March 21, 2024, together with institutions, associations, providers and committed people, a clear signal is set against exclusion, discrimination and intolerance, under this year's motto "Human rights for everyone".

All interested citizens are welcome to find out on March 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Spandau town hall. Speeches are planned, among others by the district mayor Mr. Luit, the superintendent of the Evangelical Church, Mr. Kunz and the Spandau Advisory Board for Participation and Integration. The "Spandauer Network for Democracy, Tolerance, Respect and Diversity" as well as voices of people who are directly affected by racism will also be present.

The event is organized by the Integration of the District of the Spandau district. The Spandauer Action März 2024 linked the "Spandau girl and women's fairy tale" with the international weeks against racism. Various events, workshops and rounds of conversation are offered that are critical of disadvantages and discrimination, especially in the context of sexism and racism.

The international weeks against racism will find this year from 11.03. until 24.03.2024 and are under the motto "Human rights for everyone". They are initiated by Interkultural Rat e.V. and the foundation against racism around March 21, the "International Day to overcome racist discrimination" in 1966. Further information on the program and the events can be viewed on the website of the Spandau district.
