Topping -out ceremony for modular primary school in Spandau: Berlin school building offensive in action

This Thursday the topping -out ceremony for the construction of a modular primary school was held in Spandau as part of the Berlin school building offensive. The Compermann School is designed according to a school-educational concept to enable diverse teaching and learning situations. The design comes from the architecture firm H4A Gessert + Rankecker Generalplaner GmbH from Stuttgart, which emerged as the winner of an architectural competition. The school is certified according to the standards for the construction of new schools in the State of Berlin and receives the quality level "silver" for sustainable building.

The school includes community facilities on the ground floor and classrooms on the three upper floors. The roof surfaces are extensively greened and equipped with a PV system. The barrier -free school offers space for 432 students and also includes a sports hall that can also be used by clubs. The total costs for the location amount to around € 48 million.

State Secretary Stephan Machulik emphasized the importance of modern education areas for contemporary education. Dr. Torsten Kühne emphasized the Berlin school building offensive, which realized quickly and high -quality school buildings. District Mayor Frank Werbig and district councilor Dr. Carola Brückner was pleased with the construction of the new school in Spandau.

The modular structure of the school building and the sports hall enables efficient implementation by the Goldbeck GmbH general contractor. The high degree of prefabrication and the modular design contribute to a shortened construction period. The school is expected to start operating in the school year 2025/26 and thus make an important contribution to school care in Spandau.
