Berlin citizens: Senate Department and District Spandau Pushen Berlin nutrition strategy.

According to a contribution by www.berlin.de, the Senate Department for Justice and Consumer Protection, together with the Spandau district, works to implement the Berlin nutritional strategy. The aim of promoting healthy and sustainable nutrition throughout the city is this strategy, also in areas with social problems such as the Falkenhagen Feld and Heerstrasse.

The Spandau district has already taken measures to improve the nutritional situation in the neighborhoods mentioned. For example, a new nutrition center was opened in Falkenhagener Feld that offers free cooking courses and nutritional advice for families in need. In addition, several community gardens were created in both neighborhoods in which residents can grow their own vegetables.

The increased cooperation between the Senate and the district is to be expanded and further measures are to be developed. One goal is to give people in disadvantaged areas access to healthy foods. For this purpose, mobile foods are used that offer fresh fruit and vegetables at a fair price.

The Berlin nutrition strategy is an important step to improve the nutritional situation in the entire city. Through targeted measures, attempts are made to counteract social inequalities and to give all citizens access to healthy and sustainable nutrition. These measures are particularly important in neighborhoods with social problems in which there is often a lack of supermarkets and fresh foods.

It remains to be seen how effective the implementation of the nutritional strategy will actually be and which specific measures are taken in the affected neighborhoods. However, it is encouraging to see that Senate and the district work together for a healthy and sustainable diet in Berlin.
