Social injustice of tax cuts: Werneke demands rethinking

Tax plans that cause excitement! The traffic light coalition, under the leadership of Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner , is in the sharp criticism. Frank Werneke , the strong head of the service union ver.di, raises the alarm! "These plans are socially unfair and steal the public health insurance funds urgently needed," said his clear words.

What really happens here? On Wednesday, the annual tax law will be discussed in the German Bundestag, and the next tax relief for high -income earners will be threatened. Lindner wants to adjust the income tax to compensate for the so -called 'cold progression'. But who benefits from it? It becomes clear: it is the upper ten thousand that can count on their account with a whopping 500 euros more - with gross earnings of 8,000 euros a month! In the meantime, families with low or medium -sized incomes remain on the track.

Who will be burdened?

Reality speaks volumes: Almost a third of all tax relief goes to the top ten percent of the income relationships! Lindner's reform has no answer when asked about social justice. Werneke makes it unequivocally clear: "These tax plans are catastrophic! The countries urgently need to counteract the countries!" There is an enormous investment and expenditure requirement, and the municipalities must not suffer any more from tax relief.

In the next few years, the lack of tax revenue will amount to huge 23 billion euros, which are urgently needed for daycare centers, schools and the social infrastructure. "By 2028, the municipalities lack 6.4 billion euros!" Emphasizes Werneke.

The demand for change

There is a way to justice! Werneke calls on the Bundestag factions to revise the annual tax law immediately. "Relief for lower and medium -sized incomes would be possible - but only if the wealthy pay more!" The future of public services is at stake, an outcry by the ver.di trade union is loud and unmistakable: "It must not go on like this!"

Werneke and ver.di are committed to a fair tax system that does not ride at the expense of families and socially weak. How will the traffic light coalition react to this pressure?

TIME ticks and the decision is getting closer - we keep it up to date!
