Sommer Challenge 2024: Reading, learning and fun for children in Lichtenberg
Invitation to the creative summer project for young readers in Lichtenberg
The Lichtenberg City Library is once again organizing the popular summer challenge for children aged eight to twelve years. From July 1st to September 13th, 2024, the little readers have the unique opportunity to take part in an interactive hands-on offer that is intended to promote their creativity and reading pleasure.
The main goal of the summer challenge is to collect as many stamps as possible in the summer challenge stamp. The children can achieve this by reading so many books, listening to audio books and watching films how they can. Then solve creative tasks either with the creative app "Digiclass" or in a classic way by drawing or writing. Each task is rewarded with a stamp in the magazine. The participants can receive further stamps by participating in the weekly club meetings and the varied holiday activities.
The end of the summer challenge is a big party on September 20 in the Anna-Segher's library, in which all participants are cordially invited. Interested children can register at all four locations from now on and during the entire summer vacation.

The Sommer Challenge is carried out by the association of the public libraries of Berlin (VöBB) with the support of the library strength fund of the Berlin Senate. This action should not only enjoy the children during the summer vacation, but also promote their reading skills, listening comprehension and creative skills.
