Der Deutschland-Achter hat bei den Europameisterschaften in Szeged die Silbermedaille gewonnen, wobei der Berliner Olaf Roggensack vom Ruder Club Tegel einen Beitrag zu diesem Erfolg geleistet hat. Bürgermeisterin Emine Demirbüken-Wegner und Sportstadtrat Harald Muschner haben dem erfolgreichen Athleten gratuliert und betont, wie stolz sie auf das Team und dessen Leistung sind. Das deutsche Team, angeführt von Schlagmann Hannes Ocik, musste sich nur dem Team aus Großbritannien geschlagen geben und sammelte Selbstvertrauen für die Olympischen Spiele in Paris.
