Reinickendorf: Future of living in the focus of the round table

On Monday, November 11th, an exciting event took place in the Ernst Reuter-Hall in Reinickendorf, which focused on the future of urban development. Around 30 committed representatives of housing companies and cooperatives gathered for the third round table. And not without reason! There were urgent topics on the agenda such as the expansion of the housing offer, energetic renovations and the design of open spaces for the citizens.

District City Councilor Korinna Stephan (B'90/Greens) opened the event with a clear appeal. In her speech, she made it clear how important it is to bundle the strength in order to meet the rapidly growing need for affordable living space. "The cooperation of everyone involved is essential to cope with the existing challenges and to integrate climate protection into the construction projects firmly," said Stephan passionately. Your goal? A sustainable Reinickendorf with more living space and climate -friendly standards!

The focus of the discussion was the urban development plan for living 2040, which offers exciting new perspectives for living in the capital. Particularly interesting: The planned city quarters such as TXL and Tegel-Nord in Reinickendorf who want to combine innovative forms of living and modern, CO₂-neutral energy concepts. This vision should not only expand the living space, but also sustainably strengthen the district.

The constructive exchange and commitment were expressly praised by district councilor Stephan at the end of the event.
