Cultural highlights in autumn: Stadtbibliothek Reinickendorf invites you
New cultural impulses in the Humboldt Library
The Humboldt Library in Reinickendorf becomes the scene of cultural highlights that bring together and enrich the community. The second half of the event starts on Thursday, September 5, 2023, at 7.30 p.m. with the reading concert "Night Thoughts" of the talented singer and actress Patricia Prawit. This event is not only a musical performance, but also offers a deep insight into the less known aspects of the legend Marlene Dietrich.
Patricia Prawit, who appeared as Marlene Dietrich for over two decades, addresses the diversity and depth of this iconic figure in "night thoughts" through excellent anecdotes and musical interludes. The spectators can look forward to a selection of well -known melodies by composers such as Friedrich Holländer and hits from Edith Piaf, Gilbert Bécaud and Hildegard Knef. This mixture, which stands out from usual biographies, will captivate the viewers and encourage them to rediscover the facets of one of the most important artists in German history.
Cultural city councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) emphasizes the importance of such events for local culture and encounter: "Every event is a highlight. I am particularly looking forward to the appearance of our music school. The events are a great example of how our libraries can be places of encounter and cultural enrichment."
The musical round will continue on Friday, September 13, 2023, at 7.30 p.m. with a appearance of the Bardomaniacs. This group brings extraordinary sounds with a mix of polka, thriller and international melodies to the Seewiese behind the Humboldt library. The creatively compiled compositions come from the accordionist and band founder Bardo Henning, who will captivate the audience.
There is also a special opportunity for the young talents of the region to demonstrate their skills. On Saturday, September 14, 2023, between 4 and 5 p.m., children's and youth choirs and the streak ensemble "Sinfonietta" of the Reinickendorf music school will show their impressive achievements. Under the title "Lists! Do you hear the music?" Present the young artists to present musical pieces from various genres, including classical, folk, pop and film music.
Entry to all events is free of charge and prior registration is not required. This enables the entire community to participate in these cultural experiences.
