Free advanced training for teachers: Museum Reinickendorf invites you
In spring 2024, the Reinickendorf Museum again invites teachers of secondary schools and high schools at free information and advanced training events at the two memories of the district. The workshops and project days for pupils from grade 8 were developed to enable age -appropriate memory work with reference to the school framework curriculum. Education and Cultural City Councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) emphasizes the importance of these offers for the youth.
On Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, a further training takes place in the historic town of Krumpuhler Weg, in which the history of the site is dealt with with the focus of the Nazi compulsory warehouse. The teachers have the opportunity to find out more about placement offers and take a tour. Another advanced training offer is planned for the 24.04.2024 location with a historical laboratory on Eichborndamm 238, where the history of the place with a focus on the "euthanasia" crime in the "children's department" is illuminated during the Nazi era.
It is impressive to see how the Museum Reinickendorf teachers gives the opportunity to continue their education and get to know new formats in order to be able to treat the topic and memory appropriately and informatively in class. By participating in these events, teachers can not only expand their own knowledge, but also enable their students to deal with the past.
The free advanced training events are an important part of the educational work of the Reinickendorf museum and help to strengthen the awareness of the history and importance of the memorial locations in the population. Further information and appointments on the advanced training are available on the museum's website.
