Am heutigen Aktionstag gegen Hitze hat Gesundheitsstadtrat Uwe Brockhausen (SPD) zusammen mit der Horizonte gGmbH am Kurt-Schumacher-Platz in Reinickendorf Hilfsmittel an obdachlose und hilfsbedürftige Menschen verteilt. Horizonte gGmbH has been involved in road social work for homeless people in Reinickendorf for many years. Protection against the extreme weather conditions is an important part of your work to ensure people's health.

The effects of global climate change are also becoming increasingly noticeable in the Reinickendorf district, since heat events and extreme temperatures increase. High temperatures represent a health risk, especially for health -limited, older people and homeless people. In order to counter this problem, the Reinickendorf district office founded a district working group Hitschutz and decided on a heat protection plan with short, medium and long-term measures. This plan was developed under the leadership of Health City Councilor Uwe Brockhausen and is to be further developed in the next few years.

The Horizonte team from Cagri Coskun, Ercan Celebi and Zaide Kielinger looks after homeless people with great dedication and reports on the gratitude and appreciation on the part of those in need.
