Experience freedom: exhibition of creative youth in the atrium
On November 21, 2024, on time at 5 p.m., the Märkisches Viertel is high! The gallery of the youth art school atrium opens its doors to the excited exhibition "Artistic Workshops Experiment 2024 - Freedom". The creative explosion of around 200 Berlin students in grades 8 to 11 is impressively staged here. From November 4th to 8th they dealt with the topic of "freedom" in a real art battle.
The students exchanged their school benches against the creative freedom of the youth art school atrium and were inspired by experienced artists as well as experts from art and design. They explored innovative materials, tools and techniques - an adventure in the world of art that knows no limits!
The "Art Workshop Experiment": A shop window of creativity
In his opening speech, City Councilor Harald Muschner (CDU) emphasizes: "This exhibition is a lively testimony to creative energy and the urge to research." This is not just an art competition; This is the 36th passage of the "Art Workshop Experiment", which gives the young people the chance not only to gain artistic but also social experiences. Discussed, experimented and jointly created projects make an unforgettable experience this week!
The impressions of this creative week are now exhibited in the Atrium gallery of the Atrium at Senftenberger Ring 97, 13435 Berlin until March 21, 2025. Opening times are from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (except during the school holidays). This impressive event is supported by the Office for Continuing Education and Culture of the Reinickendorf district and the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family. The organization is in the hands of the Atrium Youth Art School, which is considered the largest youth art school in Germany.
